Inefficient Cars
When
buying a car there are several issues that you should look
at. Reliability, price and what tax code it falls under are
just some of them but in a time when petrol is extremely
expensive, probably the most important issue is efficiency
or fuel consumption. If you buy a car with a great fuel
consumption rate then you are more likely to save money in
the long run as you will spend less on petrol. There are
certain cars which you should look to buy if this is one of
the ways in which you chose your new car and if you are
looking for second hand cars to buy then visit
Spain car hire.
There are also cars to avoid though, cars which will use a
huge amount of fuel to get you not very far. Here are some
of the biggest fuel consumers around.
Aston Martin DB9
It's
not exactly a secret that sports cars have a bad fuel
economy, they have massive engines and weigh a great deal
but you should always be aware that you will spend a huge
amount on petrol if you buy a car like this. With a fuel
economy of 11mpg on the city streets and 17 on the motorway,
the DB9 is the king of petrol guzzling cars.
2011 Mercedes-Benz E350 4matic
Station wagons are great if you have a large family as they
can get a large amount of people in and are usually rather
safe. Certain cars in this class though use up a great deal
of petrol and none more so than the E350. A huge engine eats
up the petrol like no other and it can only go 16 mpg in the
city and 23 outside of it so it will be an expensive car to
keep.
Land Rover Discovery
Big 4x4s are also some of the least efficient cars out there
and although they may be reliable, the money you are saving
on repairs and parts you will spend on petrol. Bear this in
mind when you buy your new car.
